Silk Road by Sirr Tmo A 22 track Chicago Footwork inspired project featuring music from 2018 and 2019. Lil Silk a childhood nickname I got from the streets of englewood Chicago. An extension and following of Yogis Retreat recently released by Aeronenma. made between Chicago, Belgium, Manchester and Liverpool. Music made for, before and after events while touring. Produced using Ableton Live and MPC Touch most of the melodic work is done with synths. With this project the goal was to bring together "My Sound" as an artist and individual without bias and in comfort. The songs were made in different heights of my life from Head lining events, fluctuation in family and friend life, to feeling like I have no place I belong or to go, to feeling I don't know which path to take (blue or red pill). Each track shows a different style in drum selection, synth work, energy and arrangements.
This project wouldn't exist if I hadn't went on my tour this year in 2019. Yogis retreat was the sight before tour but Silk Road is the entire tour process in energy form.This process has been summoned and guided through experinces with people and tailored to reach diverse listeners. I haven't played or shared this project with many so everyone is a first listener.
This may be the only project releasing on my band camp this year and no track zips anymore. My process is evolving and I feel I'm getting to good :) I have to put out albums and collaborate. In the past the music I made was only for my expression and enjoyment now I feel it is my life purpose to make people dance to good music.
The pricing and currency has changed because I've been living in Liverpool this is my first experience here and am living off of my music to survive here other than odds jobs I find. S/O to Kazimier Garden Bar LiverPool I love you
